On this 17 days safari that combines both Kenya and Tanzania parks, transportation is by both road and air, and takes you to Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Lake Nakuru National Park, Samburu National Reserve as well as Amboseli National Park. In Tanzania, the safari features Lake Manyara and Serengeti National Parks, as well as Ngorongoro Crater, which has been described as one of the great natural wonders of the world.
Day 1.Nairobi/Maasai Mara
Depart Nairobi Wilson Airport in the morning and fly to Maasai Mara Game Reserve. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Mara Sarova Lodge or Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 2 & 3. Maasai Mara
Two full days in Maasai Mara, Kenya's most popular game sanctuary. Morning and afternoon game drives...where you have the best opportunity of spotting the “Big Five” lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. Meals and overnight at Mara Sarova Lodge/Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 5. Lake Nakuru
Full day at Lake Nakuru National Park. Morning and afternoon game drives at the park which has its fair share of wildlife besides the flamingos for which the lake is justly famous for. Many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild’s giraffe, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game. Meals and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge
Day 6. Samburu
Depart Nakuru after breakfast and drive north across the equator to Samburu National Reserve, with a brief stop to see Nyahururu Thomson Falls. Picnic lunch en route, arriving Samburu in time for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge/Samburu Lodge
Day 7. Samburu
Full day in Samburu, a beautiful and and game abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy's zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. An optional visit to a local Samburu village will be worth your time. Meals and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge/Samburu Lodge
Day 8. Amboseli
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for schedule flight to Nairobi to arrive approx 1215hrs. After lunch in Nairobi, proceed by road to Amboseli National Park at the foot of Mt. Kilimnajaro. Game drive en route to Amboseli Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 9. Amboseli
Morning Tea/Coffee will be served before proceeding for an early morning game drive. The majestic and breathtaking Mount Kilimanjaro can be seen at this time. Return to lodge for late breakfast. The rest of the morning is at leisure. After lunch, an afternoon game drive follows. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.
Day 10. Arusha
Depart Amboseli after breakfast and drive to Namanga (Kenya/Tanzania border). Here you will change vehicle & driver/guide before proceeding to Arusha, Moivaro Lodge (15 km fron Arusha). Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight is at Moivaro Coffee Lodge.
Day 11. Lake Manyara
After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara Serena Lodge collect lunch boxes and depart for morning and Afternoon game drives in Manyara National Park. The park is two thirds water, one third dry land and home to a spectacular concentration of game for such a small area. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge.
Day 12. Serengeti
Depart after breakfast and drive to Serengeti Serena Lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge.
Day 13 & 14. Serengeti
Two full days in Serengeti. Morning and Afternoon game drives in the world famous Serengeti National Park which is Tanzania's oldest park, and one of the world's last great wildlife refuges. Meals and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge.
Day 15. Ngorongoro
Another morning game drive in Serengeti. After lunch at the lodge, drive to Ngorongoro Via Olduvai Gorge for a short visit of the museum. Dinner and overnight is at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.
Day 16. Ngorongoro
After breakfast, descend into the crater floor with lunch boxes for full day crater tour. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.
Day 17. Nairobi/Out
After breakfast drive to Arusha for lunch at Impala Hotel, then drive to Kilimnjaro Airport for schedule flight back to Nairobi arriving approx 1445hrs. Transfer to your hotel or the Jomo Kenyatta Intl Airport for onward flight. End of services.
